The story revolves around a police detective, Mike Sweeney (Hugh Dillon), who finds himself living across the street from an old high school buddy. He is convinced the guy is the same serial killer he is tracking. But as the story unfolds you find yourself getting caught up more in the web of these two families than the killer hunt.

It is Desperate Housewives meet Criminal Minds meet Dexter in this dark drama that many will find weighty and engrossing. Most look for a little comic relief or break in the tension to cleanse the viewing pallet. There are none here.

DURHAM COUNTY is certainly for those 18 and older. Not one you want to watch over and over but those fans of criminal TV will want to view it for sure.
