I have always liked this series of films. They do a great job of taking the predictable and making it tense. As my wife so correctly remarked, "they make you paranoid about every object around you".

In this installment they follow the template that has worked for them. 5 people escape death at a race car event due to the premonition of one young man. Death then begins to chase them down in the order they should have been killed. It is up to the survivors to try and "cheat" death if at all possible.

The DVD comes with 3-D glasses but I tossed them aside 5 minutes in. They did not work at all and made watching a pain. You can watch it fine in 2-D and will miss out on nothing.

I give this one 3 out of 5 place on the DVD shelf. Not an award winner but fans of the past versions will love this one as well.
