Get out the headphones for this one, people. "Landmarks" is an album that needs to be savored....every note felt, every vocal heard and every background sound explored. There is alot of good things happening on this album all at once.

From the first rippling note of "Exodus" all the way to the closing track "Jura" this album from the Irving, Texas band "Air Review" keeps the ears alert to every little sound. These guys have taken alternative rock and mixed it with some catchy pop influenced hooks and even added some elements of noise-rock. "The Landing" starts off with an acoustic intro and then some airy multi-layered vocals are added into the mix before an addictive electric guitar and bassline bring everything together. The highlight of "Landmarks" is definitely "Chasing Corporate". With its sing-along chorus, melodic bass line, distorted guitar licks and pumping drums, it's definitely single-worthy. "At The Switch" is another strong track from the album and will captivate you from the drum intro all the way to the last fading vocal.

Overall, the album is very well put together...much tighter than you might expect a band to sound on their debut album. The song flow is a great balance of ups and downs- a blend of mellow and powerful at all the right times. Every single song from the album is very catchy, and I caught myself humming the powerful crescendo of "All Because You're Mine" long after the album was finished. If you dig Snow Patrol, Interpol and Built to Spill-style guitar noise, Air Review is definitely worth checking out.
